Reflected Joy.

August 16, 2006 · 3 Comments

Guess what?! I’m getting a new sister!

My brother is marrying one of the few people in life I consider a “soul friend.” You know those people that you meet and just connect with, on a different plane. We’ve had countless discussions on faith, justice, Jesus, and coffee.

I don’t think that my selfish heart feels truly joyful for others very often. I mean, I might fake it pretty well, but inside I know that I’m rather ambivalent towards their good news. Tonight I am full of genuine reflected joy for this beautiful couple, and excitement for their future.

Hurrah!

Moving.

August 6, 2006 · 2 Comments

Today is approximately my tenth time moving in three years. I’m sure somebody out there has me beat… let’s hear it.

I’m going to burn all my things so that I can just live out of one hiking backpack.

I like cool weather and baseball hats!

Fleshie on the Brain.

August 3, 2006 · 6 Comments

I love that I can meet a random Fleshie and sit, talking about social justice and speaking WMFese, for five hours at a coffee shop. I love that I can ask said Fleshie “Have you ever pooped your pants?” within the first hour of meeting that person and they laugh and understand what I’m talking about. This is a holler out to all my Fleshies (and Freedomizers, you guys are pretty sweet too, no fear! :) .
